World Cup Quaterfinals

I will stick with my original picks leading into the quarterfinals.

Colombia over Brazil (This should be a fun game to watch)
Netherlands over Costa Rica (Robben looks like he is in his 40's but is an amazing player)
Germany over France (If Germany plays like it did against Algeria they may lose)
Argentina over Belgium (Messi will have to carry the team once again)

Typical US Soccer

After watching the Belgium match it's very clear the US does not have the skill level to compete against top notch teams.  Having players developed in MLS is not going to increase the skill level either.  If the US ever wants to make it past the round of 16 it will need to send players overseas to play against better competition in Europe.  I'm sure Klinsmann realizes this and have heard rumors that's his long term plan if he remains the coach for the next World Cup.   Also maybe Klinsmann can convince Mueller of Germany to become a US Citizen by the time the 2018 World Cup arrives (just kidding of course).
